Letters
To The Editor
VSRN-
Just bought a book that I was impressed with
and thought I'd pass along my endorsement.
The book is called "Driven, The Racing Photography
of Jesse Alexander 1954-1962”.
It's a hard cover book with 144 pages and
in black and white with lots of great shots of the
cars of the era with a few of the drivers.
The book cost $6.99 from Edward R. Hamilton
Bookseller, EdwardRHamilton.com. The regular
price was $35.00.
They have other car related books at closeout
prices also, you might want to check them out.

Glad to see a new issue! I thought you
were gone. Great issue!
Enjoyed the stuff on the Strombecker track,
I wish you would do one on the Eldon 1/24 scale track.
I've always thought it was the better of the
two full size tracks. Thanks again.
David Green
(Ed Note: Thanks for the comments. I
don’t have too much info on the Eldon 1/24 scale track,
although I did see a set once. I’ll see what
I do have from the old VSRN article we did a long time ago.
Can anyone else help with photos, etc? Thanks!)

Greg-
Here’s a picture of a Russkit 25 motor. I
have seen that Russkit advertised that the #25 motor utilized the
"Stackpole" magnets in one of the Russkit
dealer catalogs which my friend has. My dad's father's name
was Stackpole and I believe related to owners
of Stackpole Carbon Company. I believe this company still
is in business with a new name. I have
a #25 motor, and I bought 10 similar "clones" which are identical but
with the Russkit script removed and the shaft
turned down just at the end for a smaller hole pinion gear.

Appear to be for some industrial or commercial
use.
If the winding is similar I will build some
slots up with some of these.
Keep it in the you know what….
