Step 6: Peel & CleanUp

May I have a drum roll please? Grab one end of the foil, and peel it back over itself slowly, to reveal the image underneath.
Ta-Daaaa - Here it is!

Now's the point in time that you either say "WOW!" or "Ratzerfratzer%^#*^^%@*#*$("

Foils seem to peel off pretty well. If you are doing small lettering, you might need some cleanup. If you are using the white color, which is a pigment rather than a foil, you will definitely need to clean things up. Included in the DecalPRO kit is a roll of a special masking tape.

The tape that is supplied by DecalPRO has a special adhesive that supposedly is the same as used on 3M brand "Post-It Notes" - and is supposed to stay on the tape instead of coming off on the surface
you put it on.  I've tried 3M's blue "Painter's Tape" and that seems to work just as well.

The idea here is that the foil / pigment sticks to the black toner much better than it sticks to the Toner Transfer Paper. Tear off a piece of the masking tape a little wider than the width of your print. Starting at one end, lay the strip of masking tape on the print, and rub it down completely. Lift one end of the tape, and slowly peel it back across the print. Depending on what was under the
tape, you may find a bunch of white now stuck to the tape. If it's well used, throw it out. I often can use a strip of tape a second time. If the area you just "taped" looks good, move down the sheet a little
and run another strip of tape across - otherwise go over the first spot again.
If you are trying to do small size lettering, especially "handwriting" type lettering, you'll need to go over it carefully. I've found that a magnifying glass comes in handy so that I can see if all of the "nooks & crannies" are cleaned out. Here's when I found out I needed to use a magnifying glass:

One more step and your decals will be ready...
